Introducing Owasso Chiropractor, Dr. Stephen Warren

In retrospect I can see that it was my father’s battle with cancer that lead me to the profession of chiropractic. Of course at that time, when I was with him as he was sick and in and out of hospitals, the last thing that I ever wanted was to be in any health career. It was a couple years after my father passed away when it hit me. I was at my childhood chiropractor, she was 85 years old and not only still working she was passionate about her job.

Dr. Stephen WarrenAt that time I was in the engineering department at Virginia Tech, but my heart was never in engineering . I had been fascinated with most things medical (especially cancer) since my father was diagnosed years earlier. Despite my fascination with medicine and cancer I had a strong aversion to it. The idea of doing it for a living was unthinkable. It brought back memories of hospitals, horrible smells, and the pain of separation. What hit me when I was at my chiropractor’s, was difference between chiropractic and medicine. The whole focus was the maintenance of health not the management of disease. This I could do, and do passionately.

One year after that office visit I was enrolled at the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, IL. Life is a blur of exams, practical test and seemingly endless studying. Student loans don’t leave enough to live on in Chicago. Thank god there wasn’t because it was working a second job waiting tables that I met my wife, Nicole. We were married one year before graduation and had first child within a year after graduating. I have lived and practiced in Wisconsin with some big names in chiropractic at Allied Health Chiropractic Centers. With our first child we knew we wanted to live closer to Nicole’s family and moved to Oklahoma. I practiced for two more years in Tulsa before opening Family First Chiropractic in Owasso.

We now have three children Emily, Elijah and Isaiah. They are 5, 3 and 5 months old. None of them have ever been vaccinated or received an antibiotics. If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask me about it.

The name of the office says it all. Family First Chiropractic is family oriented. Throughout my education I have had many special interests including neurology and extremity adjustments to name a couple. Once I had children my focus went to pediatrics. I will do whatever it take to give my children a good start in this world. Given the chance I will do the same for your children. There are so many patients with chronic problems that could have been permanently resolved had I been able to treat them as a child.

I consider myself a good listener and hope to get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenges. Give our office a call or email us at the link below.
